Right now, Sam's Club is offering new members one heck of a deal: When you sign up for a new, $45 annual membership, you get a $45 e-gift card to spend at Sam's Club. That's like getting the membership for free. You'll need to wait up to four weeks for delivery of your welcome gift, but you can start using your new membership to save money on gas right away.

Of course, there's more to a Sam's Club membership than access to its discount gas stations. The warehouse giant offers bulk pricing on many popular household and grocery items, plus members-only pricing on tech and appliances. Some of our favorite deals at Sam's Club right now include a $50 Starbucks e-gift card that you can get $45, this $500 Disney gift card that can be used at Disney resorts, stores, cruise lines and more and this 65" Samsung Q6-Series QLED 4K TV for $798.

Enjoy special member prices on gas with a Walmart+ membership. In April 2022, Walmart doubled Walmart+ members' gas savings, from five cents off every gallon to 10 cents off. The deal is good at participating Walmart, Murphy, Exxon and Mobil stations. Simply scan the QR code that appears on the Walmart gas station pump screen to get started, and save cash. But wait, there's more: Walmart+ members are also eligible to fill up at Sam's Club fuel centers, and enjoy the special prices that are offered there to Sam's Club members.

Costco memberships are on sale, too: Save up to $20
If there's no Sam's Club near to you, then maybe Costco's the answer. See, Costco also has a deal for new members. The warehouse chain is offering a $10 Costco Shop card for a new Gold Star Member sign up, and a $20 Costco Shop card for a new Executive Member registration. (Note: At registration, you need to enroll in auto renewal on a Visa card to snag a Shop card.)
Costco charges $60 annually for a Gold Star membership, and $120 annually for its Executive Member level. (Executive Members, so you know, earn a 2% annual reward on eligible purchases, up to $2,000.) Costco's deal doesn't add up to a free membership like the way the Sam's Club deal does, but a Costco membership is still an excellent way to save on gas, bulk-grocery items, electronics, prescriptions and more.
